Taiga Iwasa is the Founder and President of the Hong Kong Golfers Business Association (HKGBA). A former professional golfer, Taiga represented Hong Kong for over a decade and competed internationally across the globe.
He captained the NCAA Division I men’s golf team at the University of California, Riverside, where he honed both his leadership and competitive spirit. After turning professional, he played on various Asian circuits before transitioning into the asset management industry.
Combining his experience in professional golf and finance, Taiga founded HKGBA with the vision of creating a platform that connects business leaders and golfers, fostering relationships and opportunities through the shared values of the game. With HKGBA, he aims to bridge the gap between Hong Kong’s professional golfers and the business community.
Leon Philip D'Souza is a highly accomplished professional golfer who brings a wealth of high-level competitive experience to his role as Director of Golf Liaison. A native of Hong Kong, D'Souza has numerous titles to his name from his amateur career in the territory, notably winning the Hong Kong Close and Mid Amateur Championship in both 2015 and 2017. He later excelled collegiately in the United States, becoming the first golfer since 1993 to capture back-to-back individual titles at the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship.
He continued his college education at the University of Southern California (USC), widely regarded as one of the nation's top golf programs, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level while pursuing a degree in Economics. Since turning professional, D'Souza has competed on the Asian Tour and its developmental circuit where he has recorded several strong finishes.
He hopes to leverage his journey and insights to strengthen the connection between the sport's competitive and commercial sides.
Justin Lok is former Hong Kong national team golfer who has successfully transitioned to a career in business. During his golf career, he was a prominent figure in the junior amateur circuit in Hong Kong. Notably, he was the 2013 Hong Kong Junior Close Championship champion. He competed in top international amateur events around the world as a member of the national team.
Following his competitive golf experience, Justin is now a business professional at EY (Ernst & Young), where he has quickly risen up the ranks at a young age. This combination of elite athletic discipline and corporate acumen uniquely positions him to bridge the worlds of golf and business operations within the association.
